Taka - Diving the best of the Great Barrier Reef

4, 5 & 7 day live aboard dive trips to the Cod Hole, Coral Sea and Ribbon Reefs

TakaTaka Dive Adventures has been operating liveaboard dive trips for over 18 years to remote regions of Australia's Northern Great Barrier Reef, including the Cod Hole, Ribbon Reefs and Osprey Reef in the Coral Sea.

Experience the magic of diving with the 'Giant Potato Cod' at the Cod Hole and visit some truly amazing sites up and down the Ribbon Reefs, located within the World Heritage Listed Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Join the Shark action in the crystal clear waters of Osprey Reef in the Coral Sea.

The famous Cod Hole attracts divers from all over the world - combined with the Shark Feed at Osprey Reef, it is certainly a dive trip of a lifetime. Osprey reef in the Coral Sea is one of the most spectacular dive sites the world has to offer; boasting a diverse range of shark life all year round and pristine soft corals unlike anything you have ever seen before.

While experiencing our shark feed dive, you are likely to see anywhere from 10 to 70 sharks at a time. Bob Halstead who was inducted into the International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame recently said "I'm thinking this is one of the best shark dives I have done in 41 years!"

Some of our most frequent visitors include:

Grey reef sharks (AKA Grey Whalers), Black tip reef sharks, White tip reef sharks, Wobbegong sharks, Epaulette sharks and the larger Oceanic Silver Tip sharks. Hammerhead sharks can sometimes been seen at North Horn in late winter and into spring of each year.

Dwarf Minke Whale Season which occurs yearly during June, July and early August offers Taka Dive passengers the opportunity to swim with these magnificent creatures. Due to the special permits we hold, swimming with the Minke Whales will be one of your most truly memorable experiences.

The amazing diving is not limited to the Coral Sea - diving along the Ribbon Reefs is also spectacular. Our frequent sightings include Manta Rays, Giant Australian Cuttlefish, Loggerhead and Green Turtles, Moray Eels, Red Flame File Shell, Lionfish, various Nudibranchs and the best Marine life the Great Barrier Reef has to offer.

A life experience, not to be missed!
